The Auxiliary Checklist is an additional checklist containing tasks and reminders that can be added to the Case Checklist on an as-needed basis (e.g., adding a Litigation-specific checklist when a Case moves into litigation). Multiple Auxiliary Checklists can be added to one case; however, they are independent of case types.
NOTE: You must have at least Enabled permissions to Directories > Auxiliary Checklist.
To access the Auxiliary Checklist Directory, click the Settings icon in the left navigation pane and select the Auxiliary Checklist option in the Directory Editors group.
The Auxiliary Checklist tab opens to a grid containing the Title, Active, and Litigation columns. Select an Auxiliary Checklist title from the left-hand grid to view and edit the individual checklist items. [screenshot]
Once selected, the checklist title will display at the top right-hand pane. A grid containing a list of checklist codes is shown. [screenshot]
Auxiliary Checklist items can be viewed using the Tree View or Flat View. When a view is selected, your selection is saved for all Auxiliary Checklist titles. Tree View shows parent and child relationships by indenting all child items. The Flat View shows all items (no indentation). Parent items are always distinguishable by the parent icon

Use the available filters (Phase, Staff, Active, Has Document/Form, and Single/Repeating) to locate particular checklist items. Click the Apply button to view results. Click the Clear filters button or revert all filters to the default.
The Active and Has Document/Form filters now show as a dropdown instead of a checkbox. Filter Checklist items by Active (shows only active items), All (shows all active and inactive checklist items), or Inactive (shows only inactive checklist items). Filter Checklist items by All (shows all checklist items with or without a document or form selected), True (shows checklist items that only have a document or form selected), or False (shows checklist items that do not have a document or form selected). Active and Document/Form filters will be set to All by default and your filter selections will be set to the previous saved filters.
Column options include: Code, Instructions, Color, Ref, Staff, Days, Sync Outlook Event, Phase, S/R, Auto Repeat, Doc, Form, Lim, and Active.
Columns can be shown or hidden using the dropdown above the grid. Visible columns will display in the columns field. To hide columns, click the X to the left of the column name. Click the <#> more text to view additional selected columns. To hide all selected columns, click the X on the far right. The Task Name column is standard and cannot be hidden. [screenshot]
To copy checklist items between Auxiliary Checklist titles, click the Actions menu and select the Copy option. Refer to Copying Auxiliary Checklists for more details.
To add checklist items, click the + Add button above the grid. Checklist items can also be added using the last row of the checklist grid, "Add task…". Child items can be added and easily associated with a parent by clicking the Add child task button in the Tree View. Refer to Adding an Auxiliary Checklist Item for more details.
To remove checklist items, use the delete icon to the right of a checklist item. Refer to Deleting an Auxiliary Checklist Item for more details.
To make changes to existing checklist items, refer to Modifying an Auxiliary Checklist Item for more details.
Available Auxiliary Checklist items can be accessed and added within the Checklist tab of a Case Folder.
