The Prefix Mini Directory standardizes all your common prefixes used with names in your database. Prefixes are added in the Party or Provider Tab in the Name Details window.
NOTE: You must have Enabled, Add, Modify, and/or Delete permissions to Directories > Mini Directories as needed.
To add a Prefix, click the + Add button. A blank entry will display in the first row of the grid. Double-click the Prefix field of the new entry to enter edit mode. Prefix is a required and unique field. Up to 35 characters can be entered in the Prefix field. New Prefixes are Active by default.
Reports such as "Names With No Prefix" can be utilized to locate names without a prefix to organize your Names directory. Advanced Search Name reports can be created for names without a prefix using Name (Prefix) > Select Prefix.
To delete a Prefix, click the delete icon to the far right of the entry.
Click the Yes button to delete the item if it is not in use. If it is being used, the item will be marked inactive.
Click the No button to abort the deletion.
Click the Save button to keep your changes.
