Accessing Companion Groups Directory

The Companion Groups Directory in Neos allows groups of cases to be created where cases that share a common cause of action, common parties, or other common relationships can be linked together. Once the cases are created, the Companion Cases feature cross-references the cases for use when copying and moving items to other cases.

NOTE: You will need at least Enabled permissions to access the Companion Groups Directory.

To access the Companion Groups Directory:

  1. Click the Settings button in the left navigation pane.

  2. Select the Companion Groups button within the Directory Editors group.

The Companion Groups Directory contains a groups pane on the left side with a list of your firm's current Companion Groups and the number of cases in each group.

Select a group name to view the list of case members in that group. A group members pane will display in the right pane with the list of cases within the selected Companion Group. Columns for identifying case details include Case #, Alt Case #, Opened, Case Type, Party name, Status, and Multi groups. The Multi groups column contains a check box to indicate if a case is also a member of other companion groups. Selecting a case row will open the selected companion case in a new tab in Neos.

Cases can be added to a group and removed from a group. Companion groups can also be created and deleted from the Companion Groups Directory.
