Browser extensions like high contrast and dark mode are essential for users with low vision, color blindness, or other visual impairments. Using these extensions, web pages become more accessible and can minimize eye strain, making text easier to read and comprehend for longer periods. Although these extensions are not built into our product, some users have found them helpful.
The three web browser extensions that can be installed to make Neos more accessible are detailed below. While the coloring options for these browser extensions are very similar, the differences are highlighted to help you decide which extension is most beneficial for your use.

Low Vision Browser Extensions
The High Contrast – Eye Protection extension offers six contrast settings (including Normal) and includes a separate website with more information, such as screenshots, a video demo, definitions for each contrast option, and a technical support page with frequently asked questions. A default color scheme can be set for all websites and on a per-site basis.
The High Contrast V3 extension offers the same six contrast settings AND includes two additional colors (Cyan on Black and Green on Black) for a total of 8 contrast settings. This extension can be quickly disabled using Shift + F11. With this extension, all web pages are inverted and can be toggled on/off or on a per-site basis.
The Dark Mode extension is similar to Inverted Grayscale and Inverted Color options available in both High Contrast extensions; however, the buttons and icons retain coloring close to the normal setting. Dark mode (or "night mode") uses dark greys, blacks, or colors, which can be beneficial in low-light environments. Dark mode helps reduce glare and the amount of blue light emitted from your screen. It can also save battery life on devices with OLED or AMOLED displays. Once installed, a separate website with more information, such as reasons to use dark mode, a video tutorial, frequently asked questions, and a feedback/issue form, is available.
