When multiple Cases share a common cause of action, common Parties, or other common relationship, it is helpful to create a relationship between their Cases in Neos. Once the related Cases are created, use the Companion Cases feature to cross-reference the Cases and simplify the Case entry process by copying information from another Case within the Companion Group. Companion Cases can also be used to easily copy or move items from one to another. The Companion Cases Tab shows all Companion Groups of which the current Case is a member.
NOTE: You must have at least Enabled permissions to the Companion Cases Tab and Add or Modify permissions to create Companion Cases.

To access the Companion Cases tab, navigate to a Case Folder and select the Companion Cases Tab. The Companion Cases Tab displays a Groups pane and a Group Members pane.
Groups Pane
The Groups pane contains a grid listing Companion Groups where the current Case is a member. The name of a group is displayed in the Group Name column. The number of cases that are members of a group is listed in the # Of Cases column.
Group Members Pane
The Group Members pane contains a grid of Case members in a selected Companion Cases Group. Default columns include Case #, Opened, Case Type, Party, Status, and Multiple Group. Additional columns may be added to the grid using the Columns option to the right of the grid. Select a Case from the Group Members pane to open that Case Folder.
Create Companion Cases
To set up Companion Cases, a Companion Group must first be added. Companion Groups are inserted from new or existing groups created in the Companion Cases Tab or the Companion Groups Directory.
Group members (Cases) can be added to a Companion Group from the Companion Cases Tab, where the active Case is a member, or from the Companion Groups Directory for any group/Case.
