Accessing Reports

An overview of the Report Library, including how to access the Reports tab, the columns and filters on the All tab grid, the report Type categories, and links to the ways reports are created.

Data across different areas within Neos can be easily accessed using a variety of reports. The Report Library contains your firm's standard, custom, and master template reports. From the library, you can run a report that can be printed or exported, search for reports, and mark favorite reports. Reports are categorized and contained in areas that they correspond to, such as Directories and Time Reports.

NOTE: You need proper permissions to Reports in order to view individual reports.

The Reports tab can be accessed from the Reports icon on the left navigation pane.

Reports Tab

The All tab displays a list of all reports saved to Neos. This is the default tab when opening the Report Library. Reports are displayed in a grid showing Favorite, Name, Description, and Type columns. Use the funnel icon in the grid heading to locate reports by Name, Description, or Type on any tab. Click a column heading to sort the grid. Any column order or width changes will reset to the default when the Reports tab is reopened.

The Type column categorizes reports by Advanced Search (created from an Advanced Search query), Master (created from a Master Template), and Report (all N4/N5 reports, including all standard and custom reports and those created from Dashboards).

With View permissions to General > Advanced Search, the + New Report button above the grid will be visible. Click to open an Advanced Search tab. Refer to Building Advanced Search Queries for details about creating new reports from search.

Reports can also be created from a Custom Dashboard Tile or when saved from an existing report or master template (refer to Save as New Report and Editing Reports).

From the Report Library list view, reports can also be marked as a favorite, deleted, and exported.

NOTE: Ensure that pop-ups are set to "Allow" in order for Neos to automatically display the exported report. Click here for more details.

Select a category from the left pane and then click a report in the right pane to open the Reports Details tab and run the report.
