Collections allow multiple filters to be grouped and applied to the same list (e.g., Notes or Value). Up to two collection levels can be added. Construct richer, multi-layered searches that can evaluate multiple conditions within the same dataset.
To add a Collection in Advanced Search:
Within Advanced Search, click the Add… button on the existing list filter group and select Add Collection. List filter groups are shown with an "Any" tag before the filter title.
The Collection is added as a group to filter specifically on the first filter (e.g., Note Types).
The first filter within the Collection includes only the list options within the selected Search For. In the example below, searching for Cases, will only show list areas within a Case.
You can change the existing filter (e.g., Notes) to another list area. When making this change, confirm your intention on the Reset Collection message.
When Yes is clicked, the Collection will be changed to your new selection.
Additional filters can be added within a Collection. Click the + button to add another filter. The options are limited to only the selected field area. In the example below, the Collection is filtering on Notes, so additional filters will only show Note field areas.
To remove Collections or Sub-collections, each filter within the Collection must be deleted using the trash can icon.
Click Run Search to review your search results. Only records that meet the combined criteria will be shown. In the example below, only Cases that have a Note Type of Email AND where the Email Note Type was created in the last 30 days will be displayed.
A Sub-collection can be added within the first collection to further identify entries with specific data. In the following example, Neos will locate Cases where the Value Note = Caseexp and a Value Payment has been recorded, and where the Payment amount is greater than 10.
NOTE: A Collection or group cannot be added to a sub-collection. In the image below, the Add…
icon is no longer present within the added Sub-collection.
Additional Sub-collections can be added within a Collection.
A new Collection can be added within a filter group.
