Accessing the Negotiation Tab

The Negotiation Tab on the Case Folder tracks settlement negotiations. Each negotiation phone call or meeting is entered separately, providing a history of the negotiation process on a particular case.

NOTE: You must have at least Enabled permissions Case > Negotiation Tab.

To access the Negotiation Tab, navigate to a Case Folder and select the "Negotiation" tab from the list of tabs on the left. The Negotiation Tab will open to the list view.

List View

The Negotiation list view contains a list of all negotiation entries separated by type. Insurance, Counsel, and Party negotiations will display in the list view when entries exist for each type. Negotiation types are contained in separate grids. Each Negotiation type grid contains columns as they pertain to fields used on the Insurance, Counsel, and Party tabs in the Case Folder.

Time is included in the Date field of a Negotiation item, allowing for a more accurate chronological order.

Fields from the detail view of a negotiation item will display in the corresponding grid fields within each section. Click the three-dots button to the right of a column title to insert or remove columns within a Negotiation type. Grid content can be sorted using the column headings.

Select a negotiation item to display a preview right flyout window. Click the arrow to open the detail view. [screenshot]

Double-click a Negotiation item to bypass the preview and open the detail view.

Detail View

The detail view of a Negotiation item contains the Contact Information, Insurance, Counsel, or Party Information and Negotiation Information details. The Type field allows you to specify the Negotiation type, such as Insurance, Counsel, or Party. Above the Negotiation item, the Header contains the option to return to the List View, navigation arrows, and the current number of the total number of entries. The following is an example of a Insurance Negotiation detail view. Each field and information section is described in Adding a Negotiation Item.
