Void LawPay Invoice

Invoices that have a status of Due or Overdue can be voided. Refer to Voiding an Invoice for the full process.

This article reviews the result of voiding an invoice that has been shared in Neos and created in LawPay.

Void in Neos

When an invoice that has been shared with LawPay is voided in Neos, the transaction in LawPay will be deleted.

The invoice will remain in Neos, showing a Void status.

Void in LawPay

To void a charge from LawPay, select the entry from the Transactions tab in LawPay. Click the Void Transaction option on the right pane.

Confirm the void on the following window.

A confirmation will display in LawPay with a status of Voided.

The recipient will receive an email with a confirmation of the voided transaction.

In Neos, the existing transaction will be updated, clearning the Amount and displaying "Voided INV #" in the Reference field. The transaction will be locked and the Invoice will change to a Status of "Due".

NOTE: If you have Enabled permissions to Special Permissions > Modify Locked Value Entries, you can edit locked Value entries.
