Neos Premium allows your firm to optimize productivity and reduce costs. PDF files can now be edited, redacted, and annotated directly in Neos. Included in this paid feature, OCR (optical character recognition) technology is used to search for content within your documents.

Staff will need to have at least Enabled permissions to the Case > Documents Tab to use these features.
Enhanced Preview Pane
The PDF Editor is accessible from the preview pane in the Documents Tab of any Case/Intake and Browse Documents. Select any document from the list view to see a preview in the right pane of Neos. A preview of the selected document will display in the enhanced preview pane. These document files include jpg, docx, pptx, xlsx, and pdf. All pages of the document can be accessed from the enhanced preview pane. Scroll down to view additional pages.
The enhanced preview pane contains navigation arrows on the top right to quickly cycle between documents without having to close the pane.
Click the PDF Editor button to open the inline PDF editor. This option is only present on PDFs.
Additional options include:
Panel – Displays a list of all pages as thumbnails or an outline if one exists. Use the zoom bar to increase or decrease the size of each page. Individual pages can be rotated Clockwise, deleted, or access additional PDF manipulation options. Select a page from the thumbnail view to display options. Click the X to close the panel.
• Clockwise – Rotate a single page. Click until the correct orientation is reached.
• Delete – To delete a single page, click the trash icon, then click OK button at the bottom of the enhanced preview pane.
• Options – Contains options to reorder pages, change page orientation, insert a blank page, and manipulate pages (replace, extract, and delete). Refer to Inline PDF Editing for more details.
View Controls – Displays Page Transition, Page Orientation, and Page Layout options for how the pages in preview should be shown. View options are not saved to the document. Refer to Inline PDF Editing for more details.
Zoom – Increase or decrease the size of the document preview.
Pan – Use the hand icon to click and drag between pages.
More – Click the kebab menu for three additional options. Click the X to close the additional options.
• Search – Click the magnifying glass to search for content within your document.
• Comments – Displays a list of comments for this document. Annotations are required before comments can be added.
• Settings – This menu displays at the bottom of the enhanced preview pane. Refer to Inline PDF Editing for more details.
Version History
When changes are made to a document, a version of those saved changes is retained in SharePoint. Version History is retained when changes are made/saved to PDF and Microsoft files, as part of Neos Premium. The most recent saved changes will display first in the Version History list and will be the default preview displayed in the far-right pane.
The date, time, modified last by information will display for each saved version.
When changes are made to a PDF using the inline editor in Neos, the name of your firm's Microsoft 365 SharePoint admin will display.
When changes are made to Microsoft files directly in SharePoint, the name of the logged-in Microsoft 365 account will display.
Click the date and time of a listed version to change the preview to an older version. This can also be performed using the meatballs menu and selecting the Open button.
When viewing an older version, a message will display at the top of the enhanced preview pane.
Click Restore this copy if you wish to revert to a previous version. This can also be performed using the meatballs menu and selecting the Restore button.
A saved version of this change will be added to the Version History list, showing the previous (now current) version of the document as the default. All other previous versions will remain in your history.
OCR PDF Content Search
Included in Neos Premium, OCR technology will automatically make all new PDFs that are added in Neos fully text searchable. Once complete, use the Document text search field in the Documents Tab list view to find a PDF based on its content. You can also find all matching text within a selected PDF using Search in the enhanced preview pane and within the PDF editor. Existing documents will utilize OCR technology after being opened in Neos.
