Viewing Provider Documents

This article describes the process for viewing documents from within a Provider.

Neos documents are stored in your firm's Microsoft 365 SharePoint Site (e.g., CloudDocs). Members of your organization that utilize Neos should have access to the Site.

NOTE: Microsoft 365 Global Admins and Site Owners should proactively add new staff to the firm's SharePoint Site.

Anyone not listed as a member will receive a Request Access message when trying to open a file in SharePoint. The user must click Request Access and await approval by the SharePoint Site Owner (only the first time when trying to open the document without permission). Refer to Granting Staff Members Access to the Firm's SharePoint Site for more details.

To view a document from the Documents Tab of a Provider:

  1. Click the desired File name while in the list view of the Documents Tab.

  2. A new tab will open with the file displayed in SharePoint, if you are currently logged in to your Microsoft Office 365 account.

If you are not logged in to your Microsoft Office 365 account, a new tab will open requesting your Microsoft login credentials.

  1. If your email is already listed, enter your password and click Sign in.

  2. If your email is not already listed, select it from the Pick account window and then enter your password.

  3. If your email is not shown, manually enter it on the Sign in window and click Next.

  4. You may be asked to verify your account. Check your phone's text message for the code from Microsoft. Click Verify to continue.

  5. Once verified, click Yes if you want to stay signed in to your Microsoft account. Click No to not remain signed in. If No is clicked, you will need to sign in to your account more frequently.

  6. When you are logged in, a separate tab will open with the file you selected from the Documents tab.
