eLaw Integration

eLaw is a web-based docketing and calendaring software used by legal professionals. It enables attorneys to search, monitor, and manage active and archived cases, dockets, and court calendars in a variety of courts across 39 states.

The eLaw integration syncs court appearances and motions from those courts to linked Neos Cases using the eLaw Watchlist. Future Appearances will be added to the Neos Case Calendar as events and Motions will be added to the Neos Case as Dynamic Layouts.

eLaw Integration Requirements

  • Paid eLaw service account - Click here to sign up for an eLaw account

  • eLaw Integration with Neos - Set to active

  • Neos Permissions:

    • eLaw Special Permission – Set to Enabled

    • Case > Case Tab > View Permission – Set to Enabled

Activate eLaw in Neos

To set up the eLaw integration:

  1. In Neos, navigate to Settings > Integrations > eLaw.

  2. Use the required staff email address dropdown to Select event creator. The selected email must have 'Can edit' Outlook Calendar permissions for everyone's calendar to create and update eLaw appearance Outlook events and assign custom event organizers based on case defaults.

You may choose to create an Office 365 account email just for this integration to ensure the account has all the rights and permissions needed. The event creator is not always the event organizer. The organizer can be set for each Case if needed.

NOTE: If the selected email address is NOT currently connected to Office 365, an error message will display.

  3. When no errors exist, click the Activate button.

  4. You will be prompted to sign in to your eLaw account with the Username and Password.

  5. A green success message will display when eLaw is connected with Neos.

To disconnect the integration, click the Disable button.

When the eLaw integration is set to Active, you can now configure the eLaw Watchlist in a Case.
