Neos provides a powerful tool for quickly locating your firm's entered names and companies through a variety of search criteria.
This article describes how to search for a name or company using the Name/Aka search criteria.

Name/Aka Search
You can now search for a name in the following ways:
Full first name or AKA first name *New in Neos*
Full last name or AKA last name
Full first name, last name or AKA first name, AKA last name *New in Neos*
Full last name, first name or AKA last name, AKA first name
Fragment of the first name or AKA first name *New in Neos/Now a 'contains' search*
Fragment of the last name or AKA last name
Full company name
Fragment of the company name *Now a 'contains' search*
Fragment of both the last name, first name or AKA first name, AKA last name *Now a 'contains' search*
Prefix, full or partial first name
Full last name, suffix, prefix full first name middle initial (e.g., Adams, I, Mr George T)
Full prefix full first name middle initial (e.g., Mr George T)
• NOTE: The Middle field in the Name Details window must only have the first letter of the middle name (without a period) to be searchable.
To locate George Adams using the Name/Aka search criteria, refer to the following examples:
Fragment of both the last name and first name: "Ad, Ge"
• Locates everyone with a first name starting with "Ad" and a last name starting with "Ge" (e.g. Adam Gerson)
• Locates everyone with a last name containing "Ad" and a first name containing "Ge" (e.g. Sarge Laddison)
• Locates everyone with a first name containing "Ad" and a last name containing "Ge" (e.g. Haddie Tigers)

Three-letter fragment of First Name: "Geo"
Three-letter fragment of Last Name: "Ada"

NOTE: Since Neos uses a 'contains' search, simply typing a one-letter fragment of the first name, last name or combination will display all results that start with AND contain those letters. Consider typing more letters of a name or company to narrow your search.
