The Primary Checklist is a list of standard tasks and reminders associated with a specific Case Type. The items in the Primary Checklist are intended as a plan of action of all cases of that type. A different Primary Checklist can be set up for each Case Type defined in Neos.
When the Checklist is integrated with Case data, an active reminder system is generated specifically for that Case. You can configure it so that due dates are automatically calculated, staff members are assigned to specific tasks, and the completion of one task can trigger other active to-do items (sometimes referred to as parent/child items). Templates may be attached to a Checklist item here in the Case Type Directory, allowing Case-specific data to be added during the document assembly process. When tasks are completed, the Checklist serves as a permanent record of when actions were taken and deadlines were met.
To access the Primary Checklist:
From the Case Type Directory, select a Case Type from the list view.
Select the Primary Checklist tab.
A grid will display with tasks for all cases of the Case Type.
The Primary Checklist grid displays items in a Tree View as the default, showing the relationship between Parent and Child Checklist items. The Flat View lists all items, both Parent and Child in the same format. In either view, Parent items are distinguished using this icon
.
Use the filter options above the grid to locate specific Primary Checklist items by Phase, Staff, Active, Has Document/Form, and Single/Repeating. Click the Apply button to view results. Click the Clear filters button or revert all filters to the default.
The Active and Has Document/Form filters now show as a dropdown instead of a checkbox. Filter Checklist items by Active (shows only active items), All (shows all active and inactive checklist items), or Inactive (shows only inactive checklist items). Filter Checklist items by All (shows all checklist items with or without a document or form selected), True (shows checklist items that only have a document or form selected), or False (shows checklist items that do not have a document or form selected). Active and Document/Form filters will be set to All by default and your filter selections will be set to the previous saved filters.
Columns can be shown or hidden using the dropdown above the grid. Visible columns will display in the columns field. To hide columns, click the X to the left of the column name. Click the <#> more text to view additional selected columns. To hide all selected columns, click the X on the far right. The Task Name column is standard and cannot be hidden.
Column options include: Code, Instructions, Color, Ref, Staff, Days, Sync Outlook Event, Phase, S/R, Auto Repeat, Doc, Form, Lim, and Active.
Checklist items can be added using the bottom row or the + Add button above the grid. New child Checklist items can be added below a parent using the + Add child task button. Tasks can also be deleted using the trash icon or copied, using the Actions menu. The Details button is used to add or modify Checklist information in a consolidated pane.
When the Tree View is selected, child items can be created using the double lines icon
to the left of each Task Name. Hover your mouse over the double lines icon until the hand icon
displays. Click and drag a Checklist item to a new location within the grid to make it a child of that task. The Ref code will be changed to the new parent but the item placement will only be changed on Save.
To break the parent-child relationship, drag the child to the bottom of the Primary Checklist. The Ref of that Checklist item will be changed to MAN (manual) and on Save, the item will no longer show as indented.
NOTE: Instead of dragging, you may manually change the Ref to break the parent/child relationship.
The full list of parent/child items can be collapsed or expanded by toggling between the arrow button
to the left of the Task Name of a Parent.
