Value Subtotals

Value Subtotals display a quick summary of all or filtered Value items by Value Code. The Value Subtotals window can be accessed from the Value Tab list view or detail view by clicking the Subtotals button.

Subtotals Grid

To view subtotals of all Value entries in the Case, clear the filters and click the Subtotals button.

To view subtotals of Value entries by a particular Party, Provider, Type, or Value Code, first make your filter selections on the Value Tab and then click the Subtotals button.

To view subtotals for selected Value entries, first use the checkbox to select desired Value items from the Value Tab and then click the Subtotals button.

NOTE: If your filters don't return any results in the Value items list view, the Subtotals button will be disabled.

The Value Subtotals window will display a grid showing the Value subtotals by Value Code for your filter selections. A Party dropdown is displayed above the grid, defaulting to All Parties. Select a single Party to filter subtotals by that Party. This dropdown reflects the same behavior on the Value List View > Party dropdown.

The Value Subtotals grid contains subtotal amounts for the following columns: Total Value, Reduction, Adjustments, Payments, Due, and Billable Time that have been logged for each Value Code. Below is an example of the Value Subtotals window for a current Case.

Billable Time is a new column that shows the total billable time of Value entries by Value Code. If your firm's billable time is set to display as a decimal, time will show as a decimal. If the Display Time as Decimal is toggled off, time will show in hours and minutes.

The columns can be repositioned and sorted in ascending or descending order however, they are default and cannot be removed from the grid.

Click the OK button or the X to close the Value Subtotals window.

Printing Value Subtotals

When the Print button at the bottom of the Value Subtotals window is clicked, your browser's print window will display with a preview and options for customizing the output, such as Destination, Pages, Layout, and More settings.

Click the Print button when the printer is selected or the Save button to save as a PDF.
