DocuSign is a widely used electronic signature platform that enables businesses to sign, send, and manage documents digitally. It provides a secure and legally binding way to complete agreements and contracts online, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and manual signatures. DocuSign streamlines the document signing process, improves efficiency, and helps businesses go paperless.
Neos integrates seamlessly with your firm's existing DocuSign subscription. Your firm can send a document from a Case or Provider directly to DocuSign to create the signature template, then instantly send it to your client's email or SMS as it appears in Neos.
NOTE: You must have Enabled and Add permissions to General > Interfaces to connect the DocuSign Integration in Neos. To disconnect the integration, you must have Enabled and Delete permissions to General > Interfaces.
Your firm must have a suitable DocuSign license based on the predicted number of envelopes to be sent per year. Review the Neos Software Requirements for more details.

Connect DocuSign Integration
To connect the DocuSign integration:
Click the Settings button in the left navigation pane and select Integrations.
Select DocuSign from the left pane.
Click the Set Up DocuSign® button.
A new tab will open in your browser. Log in to your firm's DocuSign account. It is recommended that the linked DocuSign account is created using a firm global email (e.g., [email protected]), as only one DocuSign account can be integrated with Neos at a time.
NOTE: If your firm has multiple DocuSign accounts linked to a single email address, Neos will be linked to the default DocuSign account (not any subaccounts).
NOTE: Regardless of the Staff that sends the document to DocuSign, the name associated with the linked DocuSign account will be used. Check your DocuSign Account Profile (under Admin) to ensure the correct Account Name is shown to signers. Refer to Sending Documents to DocuSign for more details.
During the initial connection, DocuSign will send an email asking you to verify your device or browser.
Enter the single-use 6-digit verification code and click Verify.
A success message will display when validated. You can close the current tab to return to Neos.
When Integration changes are made, click the Refresh needed button on the top right to show the "Connected" status.
Neos can now combine all available documents from DocuSign as a single PDF in the Documents Tab. The combined PDF will be uploaded as a related document.
The combined PDF can also include the Certificate of Completion when the "Attach certificate of completion to envelope" is selected in DocuSign > Admin > Signing Settings > Envelope Delivery.
The Certificate of Completion will be sent to the signer(s) and the DocuSign account holder.
Disconnect DocuSign Integration
To disconnect the DocuSign integration, click the disconnect link. The Integrations page will refresh and show the DocuSign integration as "Not connected".
Consent to connect your firm's DocuSign integration with Neos can also be revoked in DocuSign via Manage Profile > Connected Apps > Revoke. This process can be used to link a different DocuSign account with Neos or to disconnect the integration altogether.
NOTE: When disconnected, staff cannot send documents to DocuSign from Neos. Refer to Sending Documents to DocuSign for more details on using DocuSign within Neos.
