This application is designed for Neos administrators to download a requested database backup from Neos. The Neos Backup Downloader is used for single backup requests, and if your firm has purchased the Scheduled Backup module.
NOTE: Backups include only database data – not individual files.

This download link may be blocked from some browsers (e.g., Chrome). To initiate the download, copy and paste the URL into a new browser tab and click the Keep button to proceed.
Alternatively, you may access this article (via Neos) in another browser (e.g., Firefox).
Instructions
Launch the installer and install the Neos Backup Downloader.
Launch the "Neos Backup Downloader" application from the saved location.
NOTE: Check for any firewall or antivirus software that could prevent the application from opening.
Choose to SignIn with Neos or SignIn with Microsoft.
When signing with Neos, enter the following information and click the Log In button.
a. User Email or Staff Code
i. The user must be an administrator in Neos to access this module and data directly (their Staff Code must be a member of the "Administrator" Permission Group). Otherwise, the following error will display.
ii. The user must have a valid email tied to their Neos profile.
b. Company ID
c. Password

When signing in with Microsoft, enter your Company ID and click the Log In button. You will be prompted to select your Microsoft account.
If your Staff Code is configured for MFA, you will receive the same prompts as you would in Neos.
After login, any available backups for download will be shown in the listing.
If your firm has purchased the Scheduled Backup module you will see your Scheduled Backup frequency when you have signed in with Microsoft. Refer to the Scheduled Backup Module for more information.
Select any of the backups available for download and use the three dots button to select a local or network location to store the backup(s).
Click the Download Selected button to download the selected backups to the set location.
Backup Request Retention
Requested backups will be retained for 3 full days after creation to ensure the Neos Administrator has access to them. After 3 full days, the backups will be automatically removed from the cache. You can download the same backup multiple times during this period.
Scheduled Backup Module
This paid module within Neos allows firms to request or schedule automatic delivery of a database backup on a determined frequency tied to the purchased module. If you do not schedule a recurring backup based on your module (or at a larger increment of time), you will have the ability to request a backup manually, up to the threshold of the module purchase. When your firm has purchased the Scheduled Backup module, the following options will display in the Neos Backup Downloader. The selections will be enabled based on the scheduled module level purchased.
Backups are typically made available based on the selected frequency: daily backups are generally available each day after midnight, weekly backups are generally available on Mondays after midnight, and monthly backups are generally available on the first Tuesday of each month after midnight.
