Modifications to Negotiation items can be made while on the detail view of an item or in bulk on the list view.
NOTE: You must have Modify permissions to Case > Negotiation Tab. You must have permission to Special Permissions > Update Multiple Cases to use the bulk edit feature.
It is important to review the selected field content you plan to modify before committing to any permanent changes. Changes made using the Mass Update feature cannot be reversed, so it is recommended to carefully review anticipated modifications prior to making a bulk change. For any questions, contact Support to guide you in this process.
To modify Negotiation items in bulk from the list view:
Select the checkbox for the item(s) you wish to modify.
Click the Bulk Actions menu and select the Mass Update option.
On the Update Negotiation(s) window, select the Fields dropdown to choose the field you wish to update. [screenshot]
Enter the new data into the selected field(s).
Click the Save button to assign the change to the selected Negotiation items.
To modify a Negotiation item from the detail view:
From the Negotiation tab list view, double-click to open the item you wish to modify.
Make the desired modifications.
NOTE: When a different Negotiation Type is selected, a warning message will display.
Click the Yes button to clear the Insurance, Counsel, or Party Information fields of the current entry and display a Negotiation entry of the selected type. Details in the Negotiation Information and Contact Information fields will remain unchanged.
Click the No button to abort the type change and keep the current type fields intact.
Changes or deletions to Party, Counsel, and/or Insurance tab items, such as removing a Party, will be reflected on the Negotiation tab that uses corresponding information.
For example, if an Insurance item that is linked to the Negotiation tab, is deleted from the Insurance tab, that item will also be deleted from the Negotiation tab. Likewise, if additional items are added to the Party, Counsel, and/or Insurance tabs, those new items will be available in the corresponding dropdowns of a Negotiation item detail view.
3. Click the Save button to save your changes.
