This article describes the process for adding a new Provider from within a name field.
Provider name fields are located throughout Neos and allow existing or new Providers to be associated with that field. For example, you may want to insert a Provider name into the Referred By field on the Case Tab.
Neos intuitively selects the appropriate search criteria from your current location in the program. For example, when using the search field in the Party Tab, Neos defaults to the Name/Aka criterion. However, when using the search field in the Calendar to search for a Case or Intake, Neos automatically selects the Case #/Intake # criterion.
If the name of the desired provider DOES exist in your database and the search is triggered (by clicking the magnifying glass or hitting the ENTER key), click the Select button to insert their name into the field.
To view additional details, single-click the matched record, which will display data similar to Search. When you're sure you have selected the correct name, click the Select button.
If the name of the desired provider does not currently exist in your database and the search is triggered (by clicking the magnifying glass or hitting the ENTER key), an option to add a Contact will display on the Search pane.
Click the Add a Provider button and follow the prompts to create a new contact.
Click the No button if the Contact is a company.
Click the Yes button if the Contact is a person.
Click the Cancel button to abort the add new Contact process.
A Creating new Contact tab will open when either the Yes or No button is clicked on the New Contact window.
Refer to Adding a Contact for details on adding contact and provider information.
