Date Calculator

Neos contains a date calculator on all date fields that can be used to calculate date values using any Date field in the application or a new date that is entered into the calculator.

To access the date calculator:

  1. Click the calendar icon

on any Date field within Neos.

  2. A calendar pop-up will display with the currently selected date, if one exists. Today's date will be highlighted.

  3. Click the Date calculator text at the bottom left of the pop-up.

  4. A Date Calculator window will display with options for Find a date and Days Between Dates.

Find a date

The Start date is populated with the date from the selected field, if applicable. Click the calendar icon to choose a desired start date.

Use the Adjust by field to set the interval number and type. Choose from Days, Work Days, Weeks, Months, Quarter, and Year. For example, select Days if you wish to calculate the date of 5 days after the Start date.

NOTE: To calculate the number of intervals before the Start date, type the desired number, then move your cursor before the number and add a minus symbol.

The New date will display automatically, showing the date and weekday.

If the new date lands on a weekend, a message will display asking if you wish to Choose a Work Day instead. Select from the radio button options to choose another day. The day/date of the current result is selected as the default.

When the desired date is calculated, click Use This Date to insert the date into the selected date field.

NOTE: The calculated date from the New Date field can be copied to your clipboard by highlighting it and selecting Ctrl + C.

Days between dates

This section is used to calculate the number of days between one date and another.

Use the From field to enter the starting date.

Use the To field to enter the ending date. The To date is populated with the date in the selected date field.

The number of Total Days and Work Days (weekdays) between the From and To dates are shown automatically.

NOTE: Only the calculated date from the Find a date section will be inserted into the selected date field when the Use This Date button is clicked.
