Provider Permissions

This article describes the process for assigning Provider permissions.

To set all the tabs for the Provider Folder, select the Explicitly Allow or Explicitly Deny buttons for each level below the Permission Key.

Provider > Provider Tab

Permissions to the Provider Tab are displayed below. This section controls access to the Provider General Tab (former Provider) in the Provider Card. Refer to Special Permissions for access to the Replace Provider function. A separate permission exists for access to Name Details, such as addresses, phone numbers, and online accounts.

  • Enabled?: View General Tab.

  • Can add?: Create new Provider.

  • Can modify?: Change fields on the General Tab.

  • Can delete?: Delete Provider.

    Provider > Provider Associations Tab

    Permissions to the Provider Association Tab are described below. In order to add or modify association group information for a Provider, permission will need to be granted to the Associations Tab.

  • Enabled?: View Provider Associations Tab.

  • Can add?: Create new Provider Association groups.

  • Can modify?: Change existing Provider Association groups.

  • Can delete?: Delete Provider Association groups.

    Provider > Provider Notes Tab

    Permissions to the Provider Notes Tab are described below. Users with the Provider Notes Tab permission can access, add, modify, and delete any notes in a Provider, regardless of the Staff who created them.

  • Enabled?: View Provider Notes Tab.

  • Can add?: Create new Provider Notes.

  • Can modify?: Change existing Provider Notes.

  • Can delete?: Delete Provider Notes.

    Provider > Documents Tab

    Permissions to the Documents Tab are described below. This section controls access to the Documents Tab in a Provider Card.

  • Enabled?: View Documents Tab (list and detail view, open document in SharePoint).

  • Can add?: Insert new documents.

    • NOTE: You must have permission to Generate Documents and Forms to Add > From Template. Refer to Special Permissions for more details.

  • Can modify?: Change fields on the Documents Tab detail view.

  • Can delete?: Delete Documents Tab items.

    Provider > Involvement Tab

    Permissions to the Involvement Tab are described below. This section controls access to the Involvement Tab in a Provider Card. The Involvement Tab will be enabled by default for all Staff and Permission Groups if the Provider Tab permission is enabled. All users within the Administrators Permission Group will have this tab enabled by default. NOTE: If the Provider Tab permissions are disabled, the Involvement Tab permissions will be set to disabled by default.

  • Enabled?: View the Involvement Tab.

  • Can add?: Permission not applicable. Insert new documents.

  • Can modify?: Permission not applicable.

  • Can delete?: Permission not applicable.

    Provider > Communications Tab

    Permissions to the Communications Tab are described below. This section controls access to the Communications Tab in a Provider Card. The Communications Tab will be enabled by default for all Staff and Permission Groups if the Provider Tab permission is enabled. All users within the Administrators Permission Group will have this tab enabled by default. NOTE: If the Provider Tab permissions are disabled, the Communications Tab permissions will be set to disabled by default.

  • Enabled?: View the Communications Tab for a Contact.

  • Can add?: Access the New Call Log and New Text Message buttons. When set to deny, these buttons will be disabled.

  • Can modify?: Access the Assign button to add or change the phone call or text message association.

  • Can delete?: Access the Delete button to remove phone call and text message logs.
