When naming files and folders in Neos and SharePoint, certain special characters cannot be used. Refer to Microsoft Support for more details.
The following special characters should not be used when naming folders and files.
Asterisk (*)
Backslash (\)
Colon (:)
Right & Left Angle brackets < >
Question mark (?)
Forward slash (/)
Pipe (|)
Quotation mark (")
You cannot use the period character at the end of a file or folder name.
These invalid characters will be blocked when renaming the Case Directory in the Documents Tab and the Case Name in the Case Tab.
Invalid characters will be replaced with acceptable characters when the Case Folder in the Documents Tab is automatically renamed from changes made to the Party Name or Case Name field on the Case Tab.
NOTE: Changes made to the Case Name field are reflected in the Case Header and Case Directory. Changes made to the Party Name are reflected in the Case Header, Case Name field, and Case Directory.
