Trigger Manual Workflow

Within the Automations Directory, you can set triggers and actions to run automatically when changes are made in Neos. However, there may be unique circumstances where actions should be set into motion manually. For example, manual automations with email and/or text templates allow for quick follow-ups or check-ins with a client, such as a reminder to sign an agreement or nudging a client to submit a document. They can also be used to quickly add multiple Auxiliary Checklists at once and pair with an email to the Primary Staff or other Staff Roles. In these situations, a Manual Trigger (Workflow) can be created. Manual triggers are set by Case Type and can have multiple Actions.

NOTE: Your firm must be a NeosAI Platinum subscriber and have Enabled permissions to Directories > Automated Workflows.

Set up Manual Trigger (Workflow)

To configure a Manual Trigger (Workflow), refer to the Add Automation article.

Trigger Manual Automation

Once the Manual Trigger has been saved, it will be available within the Workflows menu on the Case/Intake. Your firm's list of active manual automations will be listed alphabetically.

NOTE: To create a new manual trigger from inside a Case or Intake, select the + New Manual Trigger Workflow option to open a New Automation draft with "Manual Trigger" as the default Trigger.

When the desired manual trigger is selected, the automation actions will run for the active Case/Intake. A batch processing window will display in the bottom right of Neos with the Automation Title and Batch ID number.

NOTE: If any given action is included that cannot be done, Neos will ignore that action (e.g., "Change Intake Status" action is triggered on a Case instead of an Intake).

Actions performed are reflected in the Activity Feed for the Case/Intake and by the Staff who triggered the workflow.

A record of this manual trigger will also be present in the History tab within the Automations Directory.
