Case Dates Tab

Case Dates are user-defined labels that are used to record specific dates in cases of a particular Case Type. Case Date labels must first be created in the Case Date Labels Mini Directory. These dates are used in the Case Checklist as reference points to calculate due dates for associated checklist items. They can be merged into documents or used in reports. They also act as a quick reference for important dates in the Case.

NOTE: You must have Enabled and Modify permission to Directories > Case Type to view, add, or delete Case Dates for a Case Type.

To add a case date label:

  1. From the Case Types Directory, select the Case Dates tab.

The Selected Labels pane contains a list of case date labels that display in all Cases of this Case Type. The Available Labels pane contains a list of all case date labels that have been created in the Case Date Labels Mini Directory.

  2. Select one label from the Available Labels grid and drag and drop it in the Selected Labels pane to add it.

  3. Use the four-arrow button next to the Case Date label name to reorder the list of Selected Labels. The order set in the Case Dates tab determines the order these Case Date fields will display in a Case of this Case Type.

  4. Click the Save button to save changes or click the Discard button to abort changes. Upon Save, the label will be visible in the Case Tab > Case Dates section in all Cases of this Case Type.

To remove a case date label:

  1. From the Case Type Directory, select the Case Dates tab.

  2. Select a label from the Selected Labels pane and click the right arrows

button to move the label back to the Available Labels pane.

TIP: You may drag and drop a Case Date label from the Selected Labels pane to the Available Labels pane.

  • If the Case Date Label is assigned to checklist items in the Primary Checklist, it cannot be deleted from the Case Type. The following error occurs when Save is clicked.

  • If the Case Date Label contains data in any case of the Case Type, a warning message will display.

    • Click the Yes button to delete the Case Date Label and data from all cases of this Case Type.

    • Click the No button to abort the deletion.

3. Click the Save button to save changes or click Discard to abort changes.
