The AI Prompts Directory is a collection of standard and custom AI prompts that can be used with the NeosAI Chat feature. AI Prompts save you time when engaging with Documents inside a Case/Intake to obtain relevant information in a few clicks. Neos includes 55 standard AI Prompts with the ability to create additional prompts, as needed. AI Prompts can be assigned a reasoning mode in AI Chat.
NOTE: Your firm must have NeosAI Platinum and Staff must have the Special Permissions > NeosAI and AI: Manage Prompts & Tags set to Enabled.
Access AI Prompts Directory
Click the Settings icon from the left navigation pane.
Select the AI Prompts tile within the Directory Editors section.
The AI Prompt grid displays default columns for Prompt Name, Description, AI Prompt, Document Type, Case Type, Category, Active, Chat Mode, and Edit/Delete. Prompts are displayed alphabetically by AI Prompt Name.
Your firm's AI Prompt Directory contains two types of prompts:
Standard, immutable prompts where some fields can be modified but the prompt itself cannot be deleted. These will only display an edit icon.
Custom prompts created by your firm where all fields can be modified, and the prompt can be deleted. These are distinguished by both the edit and delete icons.
AI Prompt Categories
AI Prompts can be grouped by Category, making it easier to find and manage prompts based on type or purpose. These grouping options are stored in the AI Prompt Categories Mini Directory.
Use the Categories filter at the top of the grid to access AI Prompts by certain categories. Categories can be set for AI Prompts within the Edit AI Prompt window.

New, custom AI Prompts can be added or deleted, and all tags can be edited. AI Prompts are assigned a Chat Mode and will display "Broad Scope", "Focused Insight", or "All". The chat mode selected in the AI Prompts Directory will determine when the prompt is available in AI Chat based on the selected reasoning mode.
