Duplicate a Document

There may be times when copies of the same documents are needed with only minor changes. Copies of a single document from the Case Documents Tab can be created up to ten times using the Duplicate action. For example, if a Deposition Notice has changed, you can easily create a duplicate, insert new details into the copy, and keep the original version as a record.

To duplicate a document:

  1. Navigate to the Documents Tab in a Case or Intake.

  2. In the list view, click the down arrow next to the Details button.

  3. Select the Duplicate option from the popup menu.

  4. Use the arrows to increase or decrease the number of copies you wish to create. Up to 10 duplicates are allowed at a time.

  5. Click the Duplicate button.

  6. A success banner will display, showing that the document was copied.

  7. The Documents Tab will refresh. The duplicate entries will have "Copy <#>" appended to the file name. Each duplicated entry will increase the copy number sequentially. When the whole process is repeated, a second number will display for each iteration (i.e., 1 1, 2 1, then 1 2, 2 2, etc.).
