Before getting started with the Outlook Add-in, each user should check that they have the appropriate runtime installer loaded on their computer. This article describes how to check your current version and download an installer file if one does not exist. For example, if your workstation is using the outdated IE11 runtime, your Outlook Add-in may display blank.
Check Installed Runtime
Navigate to your computer's Settings > Apps & Features and look for "Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime". If this application exists in the list, you are all set and can install the Outlook Add-in.
Download Evergreen Installer
If the above is NOT found, follow these steps to download the Evergreen installer which is a small installer file containing the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.
Open your browser and navigate to the following URL: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/#download-section
In the Download section, select the Download button under "Evergreen Bootstrapper".
After the download is complete, you can install the Outlook Add-in OR restart Outlook if it is currently installed.
NOTE: If the Outlook Add-in displays blank after the Evergreen Bootstrapper has been installed, you will need to open the Registry Editor on your workstation and add a DWORD key called "WIN32WebView2" with a data value set to "1" in the following registry path for Microsoft Office: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\WEF
