This article contains frequently asked questions about the new version of Calendar.
Q: I can't see event status and color anymore. How am I supposed to tell what events are done or canceled or rescheduled?
A: We now have some awesome workflows for canceling and rescheduling events! When you cancel a case event you are given the option to keep a record of the original event in the case, but it won't show up in Outlook anymore! You can set the status of the recorded event to something like Done or Canceled. This will help keep your calendar clear of unnecessary items. The reschedule workflow works similarly where if you change the date or time of a case event, it will give you the same option to keep a record of the original event in the case and set a status for it, such as rescheduled. This will keep only the updated date and time of the event in your Outlook calendar, and you can always see the original event stored in your case. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Q: Can I add those non-Outlook case events I created in my cancel/reschedule workflow back into Outlook or report on them in advanced search?
A: Yes, non-Outlook case events have been renamed as Archived Events and can be sent to Outlook in bulk by performing an Advanced Search. Refer to KB 2041 – Send Archived Events to Outlook to start the process.

Q: Where are my calendar reports?
A: We have lots of great calendar reporting, exporting, and printing functionality. Reference the options below based on your calendar reporting needs.
Are you printing or exporting your calendar for the day or week? If you just need basic event details try calendar search which gives you a list of events you can print or export.
Are you looking to filter calendar events based on certain criteria like case type or appointment status? Try Advanced Search! You can build powerful and specific reports in Advanced Search. You can also save it for yourself or others and subscribe to email reports at whatever frequency you would like.
Are you looking to print a calendar for a specific case? Try going to the Case Calendar where you can see the most relevant event details and print at the click of a button.
Are you looking for a more customized calendar report? Our team can work with you to build highly customized calendars tailored to your needs. Refer to our Custom Report Writing Service article for more information.

Q: My calendar Advanced Search is missing columns or filters.
A: In order to make our calendar optimized for performance, we had to eliminate some of our least used filters and columns. We really love any feedback you have to share, if we eliminated something important to you. The best way is to share your feedback in the ideas portal. Before you create an idea, check to see if someone else had the same one and add your vote to it. Refer to the Neos Ideas & Enhancements article for more information on voting for an existing idea or creating a new idea. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Q: Why can't I add more than 20 staff members to my calendar view?
A: In order to make our calendar optimized for performance, we had to limit this functionality to a maximum of 20 calendars at a time. If you need to see the availability of staff across a larger group, we recommend using Outlook's calendar group feature. You can create a custom group in Outlook that is just for you, or your Outlook admin can create one available for anyone. These will let you add as many staff as you need to be able to find availability on a larger scale. To do this:
Go to the Outlook calendar.
Right-click on the title "My Calendars" in the left sidepane.
Select "Create Custom Group".
Add all the staff you need.
When looking for availability, just check Outlook. You can then create the event in either Neos or Outlook, whichever experience you prefer.

Q: My firm recently migrated and we were using the Removed Calendar Events Advanced Search to find all of our events that we didn't know what cases they belonged to. What happened to them?
A: Don't worry, although this is no longer available in Advanced Search, we still have this data available. If you would like this information in an export for your records, our Professional Services team can provide that for you. NOTE: This may be billable and will be discussed when you connect with Professional Services.

Q: Why did you update the Neos calendar?
A: We want Neos to be user-friendly. The calendar was one of our most frequently requested features for enhancements. We took all that feedback and rolled it into our new calendar experience. All of our enhancements were directly driven from our ideas portal and customer feedback. We also made sure to create a calendar that is fast and reliable. In this release, there were over 300 customer votes from the ideas portal delivered through Neos Calendar. If there is something that just isn't quite right for you, we would love to hear, so please create an idea in the portal or vote on one that already exists.
