In Microsoft 365 Outlook classic desktop, you may have seen the toggle to Try the new Outlook in the upper right corner.

What does this mean for Neos firms?
Firms that are currently using classic Outlook will be automatically switched to the new Outlook in 2025. It is strongly advised to use new Outlook with the Neos for Outlook add-in to access the Sign in with Microsoft option.
If your firm wants to keep classic Outlook to interact with other applications AND have the ability to use new Outlook with the Neos for Outlook add-in, follow the guidelines below to opt out of the migration.
Disable Automatic Migration
To prevent users from being switched automatically to the new Outlook, your firm's IT provider must configure the policy with a 0 (Disable) value using the Windows registry. By doing so, the automatic migration to new Outlook will be blocked for all users.

Reinstall Classic Outlook
If your firm has switched to new Outlook but also needs classic Outlook, your IT provider should be able to install a standalone version of classic Outlook as a download or from the Windows store. Click below for the installer link.
