The Group General Permissions tab controls access to common Neos functions. Each function is part of section where it is controlled: Case, Provider, Name Details, Messages, Intakes, Directories, General, and Accounting. These sections contain specific permissions to control the access level for all staff in a group. Easily grant full or no access to all permissions in a section by using the permission level above a section. Permission for each section or particular function can be allowed or denied.

NOTE: If permission changes have occurred to your current view, simply refresh Neos or navigate away and back to that view to see the changes take effect.

The following key is present on the General Permissions and Special Permission tabs of Permission Groups and Staff Permissions.

: Permission level is intentionally selected and set to Allow.

: Permission level is intentionally deselected and set to Deny.

: Permission level is inherited from one or more permission groups where that staff is member. The inherited permission will only show in the Staff Permissions, since it pulls the allow or deny permission from Group Permissions.

The Group General Permissions tab is very similar to that in the Staff Permissions. Each section contains a grid with each permission level described in greater detail. When a permission is checked, all staff within the Permission Group have access to that area or function within Neos. When a permission is negated, all staff within the Permission Group are denied access to that area or function within Neos.

You will notice that some permission areas or functions within the grid do not have the full set of permission levels (Enabled?, Add?, Modify? and Delete?). This simply means that access to particular functions is either granted or denied using one or two access levels. Most often, these are Special Permissions.
