Modifying a Case Event

Events assigned to a case can be modified directly from the Case Calendar tab in a Case Folder. Changes to recurring items can only be made at the series level unless exceptions already exist.

While Case events from others' calendars will be visible in the Case Calendar, edits can only be made when you have "Can edit" or "Can view all details" permissions to the organizer's Outlook calendar.

NOTE: You must have Enabled permissions to Case > Case Calendar Tab and View and Modify permissions for Calendar > My/Others' Calendars.

To modify an event within the Case Calendar tab:

  1. Double-click the event you wish to access from the list view.

  2. Fields can be modified with changes to the event reflected in the global calendar.

  3. Click the Save button to save your changes.

When the Case #/Intake # field has been changed in the global Calendar to another case, the calendar item will be removed from the Case Calendar tab for the current Case.

Locked Events

For Calendar events where you only have "Can view all details" permissions to the Organizer's calendar, the Event Details window will display but all fields except for the Outlook Reminder and Show as will be disabled from editing. Changes made to these fields will only take effect on your calendar.

Unlinked Events

The option to add unlinked events that have been deleted in Outlook or not correctly synced to Outlook during your firm's transition from Needles is no longer available, however, this information can be exported by request from our Professional Services department. NOTE: This may be billable and will be discussed when you connect with Professional Services.

Recurring Events

Recurring events assigned to a case will be listed in the Case Calendar tab only once, on the first occurrence of the event. Changes to recurring events will only be made to the entire series unless an exception to that series already exists in the Case Calendar.
