Accessing Contact Information

The Contact stores information about the people and organizations that have provided a service in a case, such as doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, adjusters, police departments, judges, lawyers, and referral services. Two Mini Directories are used to categorize providers by type of service and their specialty: Provider Role and Provider Specialty.

Many fields throughout Neos display the information from the Contact. The information is shared with all cases in which the Contact is involved as a Provider. Updates to the Contact's information need only be made in their General information to be reflected in all cases where the Provider is attached.

NOTE: You must have at least Enabled permissions to Provider > Provider Tab.

To access a Contact:

  • Select a Contact from Address Book (using the

icon on the left navigation pane).

  • Select a Contact (Name or View Contact button) from Search results.

  • Double-click a Provider Name from a field.

A new tab will open in Neos with the name of the selected Provider. The Provider card defaults to the Provider Tab and contains four additional tabs: Provider Associations, Notes, Documents, Involvement, Communications, and Billing Settings. The layout for these tabs is similar to those within a Case. Additional functions can be found in the Actions menu.

The General section is split into eight different sections containing details about the Provider.

  • Basic Information – Displays the Provider data of the Person (below) or Company (above).

  • Provider - Displays the Provider Role, Provider Specialty, Expert, Vendor ID, and Job Title fields when the Provider check box is selected.

  • Additional – Displays the Federal ID, Bar Number, Alternate ID, and Tags fields.

  • Addresses – Displays the list of addresses for the Provider with the ability to add, modify, or delete addresses.

  • Phone Numbers – Displays the list of phone numbers for the Provider with the ability to add, modify, or delete phone numbers.

  • Emails – Displays the list of emails for the Provider, showing the first entered as the Default.

  • Online Accounts – Displays the list of online accounts for the Provider with the ability to add, modify, or delete accounts.

  • User Defined - Displays the user-defined fields that have been created for Providers with the selected Provider Role from the Layout Manager.
