Custom AI Prompts can be added from the AI Prompts Directory in Neos. AI Prompts allow frequent questions about a document to be pre-populated and used in AI Chat quickly without having to type the question each time.
NOTE: Your firm must have NeosAI Platinum and Staff must have the Special Permissions > NeosAI and AI: Manage Prompts & Tags set to Enabled.
To add a custom AI Prompt:
Navigate to Settings > AI Prompts.
Click the + New AI Prompt button above the grid.
Fill in the following fields on the Create AI Prompt window.
Active – Select the checkbox if the new AI Prompt should be available in the AI Chat suggested prompt popup.
Prompt Name – Enter the name of the AI Prompt (up to 100 characters). This field must be unique and is required. The Prompt Name should be a short title to identify your prompt.
Description – Enter the AI prompt text (up to 300 characters), which displays in the suggested prompts popup inside NeosAI Chat. The Description is often a question but can be a statement. This is a required field.
Prompt Category – Select one or more categories from the AI Prompt Categories Mini Directory. Assigned categories will display in the Category column within the list view, separated by commas.
Document Type – Select the type of document where this AI Prompt should be available. This is an optional field. When one or more Document Types are selected, this AI Prompt will only be available in the suggested prompts popup for documents of those types. If no Document Types are selected, this AI Prompt will be available for all documents.
Case Type – Select the Case Type where this AI Prompt should be available. This is an optional field. When one or more Case Types are selected, this AI Prompt will only be available in the suggested prompts popup for cases of those types. If no Case Types are selected, this AI Prompt will be available for all cases.
Available in Chat Mode – Choose the reasoning mode where this prompt will be available. Broad Scope is selected by default. At least one chat mode must be selected to save. When one chat mode is selected, the AI Prompt will be available in NeosAI Chat if that reasoning mode is selected. If both chat modes are selected, the prompt will be available in all selected reasoning modes.
AI Prompt – Enter the details of the new AI Prompt (up to 5,000 characters). This is what you are asking AI to return (e.g., summarize medical history and include relevant treatments, conditions, and prior incidents). AI Prompt is a required field.
4. Once required fields on the Create AI Prompt window have been satisfied, click the Save button to keep your new AI Prompt. The grid will refresh, adding the new prompt into the AI Prompts grid and sorted alphabetically.
