The General section controls access to certain important areas of Neos.
To set all areas of General functions, select the Explicitly Allow or Explicitly Deny buttons for each level below the Permission Key.
General > Dynamic Layouts
Permissions to Dynamic Layouts are described below. This permission controls access to Dynamic Layouts within a Case/Intake and the Dynamic Layouts Tab. These permissions will default to Explicit Allow for all staff when the firm adds NeosAI. Delete will be set to Explicit Deny by default.
NOTE: Data extraction using the Medical Record Document Type will create associated dynamic layouts regardless of the following permissions. NOTE: When a Case/Intake Document with dynamic layouts is deleted, the dynamic forms associated with that document for that Case/Intake are also deleted, regardless of the following permissions.
Enabled?: Access existing Dynamic Layouts within a Case/Intake, from the Quick Add menu, and the Dynamic Layouts Tab.
Can add?: Option to add a new dynamic layout.
Can modify?: Change and save dynamic layouts.
Can delete?: Delete a dynamic layout from the Delete button (flat entry) or the three-dot menu in the dynamic layout grid (list entries).
General > Interfaces
Permissions to Interfaces are described below. This permission controls access to Settings > Integrations.
Enabled?: View Integration settings.
Can add?: Connect new Integrations.
Can modify?: Change Integration settings.
Can delete?: Disconnect Integrations.
General > Reports
Permissions to Reports are described below. This permission controls access to all reports. Report categories can be excluded from the Other Permissions section.
Enabled?: View and run Reports.
Can add?: Create new Reports using the Save as New Report option.
Can modify?: Change existing Reports.
Can delete?: Delete custom Reports created from Master Templates or Dashboards.
General > Firm Preferences
Permissions to the Firm Preferences tabs are displayed below. This setting applies to all tabs in Firm Preferences.
Enabled?: View Firm Preferences tab.
Can modify?: Change existing items in Firm Preferences.
General > Communications Center
Permissions to the Communications Center tab are displayed below. The firm must have the RingCentral Integration enabled in Neos to use the Communications Center.
Enabled?: View the Communications Center, showing the current Call Log list.
Can add?: Create new communications using the New Call Log button.
Can modify?: Change fields of a selected Call Log in the detail view. Also displays the View/Edit option in the kebab menu on the list view.
Can delete?: Delete call logs. Also displays the Delete option in the kebab menu on the list view.
General > Advanced Search
Permissions to the Advanced Search feature are displayed below. Users must also have permissions to Update Multiple Cases in order to perform a Mass Update from Advanced Search.
Enabled?: View and run Advanced Search from the Search side pane and reports created from Advanced Search. If a user has permissions to Reports but not Advanced Search, they can only view reports created from Advanced Search (no change to search by record, filters, columns or Mass Update).
Can add?: Create and save new Advanced Search queries. To save queries as a report, users must have Add permissions to Reports.
Can modify?: Change existing Advanced Search queries and save edits.
Can delete?: Delete existing Advanced Search queries.
