NOTE: Members of your organization who utilize Neos should have access to your firm’s SharePoint site. If they do not, the user will receive a Request Access message when trying to open a file in SharePoint.
To preserve your firm’s internal documents, it is recommended to email documents from Neos as attachments to external parties.
To enable document link sharing in SharePoint:
1. Log in to your firm’s Microsoft Office 365 account.
2. Click the tile button at the top left corner of the site page.
3. Then, click the Admin button in the list of available options. NOTE: This button is only available for Global Admins.
4. In the Admin Center, click Show all on the left pane.
5. Within the Admin centers section, click the SharePoint option.
6. In the SharePoint Admin Center, click the Active sites option under the Sites section.
7. Select the site for which you want to change sharing settings and click the Sharing action.
8. Select the Anyone radio button and click Save.
The option to share a link will become available for files and folders within your firm’s SharePoint site.
NOTE: This implies that anyone with the link will be able to access your specifically shared content. If you do not want 3rd parties to modify the shared content, uncheck the Allow editing check box when sharing.
If a link should only be accessed by individuals, use the Specific people option. This setting only allows the logged-in email to view/edit the document.
NOTE: Only those logged in with a valid Microsoft account can access the link.
