RingCentral vs Zoom Phone Integrations

Neos offers two VoIP services, RingCentral and Zoom Phone. While these serve similar purposes, each integration has different features. Both utilize a widget in Neos and store calls in the Communications Center. Use this article to compare integrations and decide which is best for your firm. Receiving Calls in Neos

  • • Zoom Phone Desktop must be open to use the Zoom Phone widget in Neos

    • Users cannot be in a Zoom meeting and answer a Zoom phone call without disruption

    • Zoom Call Handling settings can be set when on another call

    • Access to Caller Details if number is found in Neos contacts

    • Create new intake if caller does not exist in Neos

  • • Access to Caller Details if number is found in Neos contacts

  • Zoom: As soon as an answered inbound or outbound call is finished, the call log is added to the Neos Communications Center > Phone Calls Tab

  • RingCentral: Answered inbound and outbound calls are imported hourly into the Neos Communications Center > Phone Calls Tab

  • Zoom: If multiple Cases/Intakes are assigned to the same contact or a contact is duplicated, Neos cannot auto-assign a Case/Intake

  • RingCentral: Imported calls where the Staff is not assigned will not automatically create the Case/Intake Note

    Add Call Notes

  • Zoom: Add notes during your call from the Zoom Phone widget. Notes are automatically saved to the Notes field of the Call Details Tab.

  • RingCentral: No option to add call notes in the widget but can open the linked Case Notes Tab and create a note.

  • Zoom: Any caller that does not match a name in Neos can automatically be created as a new intake. This can apply to specific Neos Staff or a Call Queue. Internal Call Filtering allows all calls from within the Zoom account of your firm to prohibit a call log or intake from being created.
