With the Neos for Word Add-in, you can create more powerful templates by leveraging text and images from other master documents.
Using InsertPic and InsertDoc Word Add-in tags, you can:
Automatically insert entire paragraphs into new documents using text from other documents
Generate new documents with logo images, profile pictures, or any other graphic
Update text or images in a single master document and use the merge tags to have the changes reflected on all templates
NOTE: To insert picture and document tags, you must have the Neos for Word Add-in installed. Once installed, the add-in can be used in Word Online or Word Desktop. For a better Word formatting experience and advanced document coding, it is recommended to use the add-in in Word Desktop.
The InsertPic and InsertDoc tags are located under the Special category of a Case, Intake, or Name Merge Type.
These tags can be used in headers and footers of templates, as well as within IF field codes. NOTE: IF statements can only be created inside Word Desktop.
The inserted tags will display as follows:
[[ Insert Doc | INSERTDOC <file path> ]]
[[ Insert Pic | INSERTPIC <file path> ]]
Documents, including pictures, must be uploaded to SharePoint in a location accessible by the Global Admin account that is linked to the OneDrive Integration (in Settings > Integrations > OneDrive®).
Once the desired tag is inserted, you will need to replace the "<file path>" with the exact file path of the document or picture in your firm's SharePoint.
To locate the exact file path, open your firm's SharePoint and find the document you wish to link from your firm's Clouddocs site (e.g., TemplateFiles). The file must be located in a linked folder, as specified in Firm Preferences > Document Folder Settings.
Click the three-dot menu and select the Details option.
Scroll to the More Details section and click the
icon next to Path to copy the direct link. The icon will temporarily show a check mark when you have copied the direct link.
Paste the copied link in your tag in the exact location of "<file path>".

After the template is saved and added to the Template Directory, a document can be added to a Case using the template that contains these tags.
