The Layout Manager View is displayed when any user defined screen is accessed. Depending on the type of user defined screen, the Layout Manager View may contain slight differences to match the unique requirements of the type of screen to be designed.
The Layout Manager Screen is comprised of multiple elements, which are further described in the following topics. When accessed from the Case Type Setup > Tab Setup tab, clicking the Edit button from the User Defined Setup column will automatically populate that Case tab's title in the Header Bar.
Header Bar
The Header Bar is located at the top of the Layout Manager View. It displays the Entity Type, which can be further defined by Case > Case Type > Case Tab, and Party Role, Insurance Type, or Value Code OR by Provider > Provider Role.
Party Role – A unique user defined party screen can be designed for each party Role in the selected Case Type. The Role dropdown contains a list of active party roles from the Party Role Mini Directory. A party role must be selected in order to design the user defined section of a Party tab.
Insurance Type – A unique user defined insurance screen can be designed for each Insurance Type in the selected Case Type. The Insurance Type dropdown contains a list of active insurance types from the Insurance Type Mini Directory. An insurance type must be selected in order to design the user defined section of an Insurance tab.
Value Code – A unique user defined value screen can be designed for each Value Code in the selected Case Type. The Value Code dropdown contains a list of active value codes from the Value Code Mini Directory. A value code must be selected in order to design the user defined section of a Value tab.
Provider Role – A unique user defined provider screen can be designed for each provider Role. The Role dropdown displays a list of active provider roles from the Provider Role Mini Directory. A Provider Role must be selected in order to design the user defined section of a Provider tab.
Fields Pane
The Fields pane, located on the left-hand side of the Layout Manager, contains a list of user defined Case Fields and Dynamic Layouts.
Case Fields
Existing fields can be searched and new fields can be created. A single instance of a field can be inserted into user defined sections within the design layout screen.
Your firm's full list of Case Fields can be accessed by clicking the Manage Case Fields button below the Search field. The field Type is displayed next to the field Title so you can easily identify each Case Field.
To locate a field, start typing the letters into the Search field. All fields that contain the searched text will be displayed. Case Fields that already exist in the design screen will be disabled (grayed out).
Dynamic Layouts
Dynamic Layouts can now be incorporated into Case Type layouts making them always accessible within Case tabs for streamlined data entry and organization. Dynamic Layouts in the Case Layout Manager expand the customization of cases and enhance configuration options by enabling drag and drop reordering, flat form display for single records, and grid view for multiple records. Use Dynamic Layouts for specific workflows, managing party details, insurance information, or counsel data.
A Dynamic Layouts tab has been added under the Fields pane. Dynamic Layouts can be added to Case, Party, Insurance, Value, and Counsel Tabs. Dynamic Layouts cannot be added to Provider or User Tabs 1-10. The Dynamic Layouts tab displays the dynamic layouts configured from the Dynamic Layouts Directory.
The Dynamic Layout Category is displayed below the Dynamic Layout Name so you can easily identify each Dynamic Layout.
Click the pencil icon to open the selected Dynamic Layout from the Dynamic Layout Directory.
Click the plus button to add that configured Dynamic Layout to the bottom of the design screen into the selected tab for that Case Type. Dynamic Layouts cannot be edited here but to make changes, navigate to the Dynamic Layout Editor.
When the Dynamic Layout has been added, the plus button will be disabled, as it can only be added once to the selected design screen.
Click the Save button to retain all your changes.
Dynamic Forms added in the Layout Manager will be added to the corresponding Entity location (e.g., MVA Cases > Case Tab) under the User Defined section.
Sections Pane
Sections act as group boxes to house user defined fields. Multiple sections may be added to the design layout screen. A section must be created before fields can be inserted. Layout sections can be modified using the gear icon.
